Already done. We refilled the bottle and tweaked the jets for the 772 pass. :ro) Made some Duramax believers. It was still carrying 700 horsepower out past 120 mph. I hope track prep is good tomorrow.

Might be nice with a 2WD crew in the 11's. :)

WAY TO GO, BRANDON!!!!!! :ro)

So, what's Peaches' truck running? 600HP?

At what ET/speed DO you need a cage anyhow?

Tom

Tom

I still gotta shave off another six tenths before I gotta worry about that!

Damn no hooking 2WD trucks... ;)

A diet and some suspension mods might make a big difference though! I gotta start planning on what to do next.

No changes on Peaches truck so we did not put it on the rollers. Working on a few tricks to fuel it up though so I am sure we will see what develops!

I wish all the BS about DHRA not allowing REAL drag slicks to get straightened out! It would be interesting to see how Brandon's truck would do if he could crash the lights like us 4x4 guys do...

I think Buck and I should get some credit for that... if it was not for us drunks on the sideline "encouraging" him to bump the jets...

LMAO!

Excellent numbers Brandon

It did:

60' 1.921
330 5.179
1/8 7.873 @ 92.40
1000 10.180
1/4 12.134 @ 115.69

IIRC "dieselrcr337" has had a 1.799 60 foot and I believe he has a 2wd. I'll have to go back and look in my notes. If not I believe "Diesel 5" has had 1.8's with his.

Seems to me 11's shouldn't be to far away for you...

Congrats

Also, by the way, any idea on your race weight as well as what it made for torque?

Also looking back in some notes, seems your incremental differences (if that makes sense) were close to some of mtomacs old 11.95 times except for the MPH. Must have spun a bit as 119 mph is kind of high for the times.

yours 1.921 <5.952> 7.873 <4.261> 12.134@119
tomac 1.730 <5.95> 7.680 <4.27> 11.95@115

If some of these 2wd trucks here have 60ft in the 1.70's 1.80's, that should easily put you at least 2-4 tenths quicker.

Sorry, just thinking about numbers.

MY best time.

R/t .502
60' 1.799 2wd Posse!:ro)
330 5.318
1/8 8.116
MPH 88.60

The track was not not hooking that good. Also the truck was shifting really, Really, Bad!-:t I was losing alot witht he shifting. Some more work and better traction and i know i can do a 7.99
I had alot of fun tonight.....Charles, Jay, & Ralph we GOT to do this again.

#2 only
60'........1.996
1/8........8.685/80.37mph

w/Nos
60'.......1.852 :)
1/8.......8.235/84.59mph

* Full weight / Full tank/ Slicks

Oh and a special thanks for McRat for the great tip on those slicks.:thumb:

I trapped at 115.69, not 119MPH. If I was spinning down the track the MPH would have been lower than the 115, not higher.

I agree, the 60' times are the big problem at the moment.

My bad on the mph.

Wasn't thinking it was spinning down track, more less spinning off the line.

Either way, good job, hopefully 11's will be done on your next outing.

If you do do it, will this be the first 2wd dmax in the elevens?

BMDMAX

From what I can tell it would be the first 2WD Crew Cab daily driver in the 11's.

Are you running 30" tires or 32"'s?

While an expensive experiment, running the 32" M&H Nostalgias will probably give you better 60's.

It would almost be interesting to put a pulling weight on the trailer hitch, as far back as you can. 100lb way back on the wheelbase will act like alot more.

Those times were with the 30's. I have a set of the Nostalgias ready to go for testing so we will see. Last time out with them, even at really low pressure the best they would deliver was a 1.9 on the 16x10 rims. I am hoping for better out of the 16x12 setup.

Chances are with a better 60' time the trap speed will go down a small bit. Out of all my runs the worse my 60' is the higher my trap speed is.

Carbon,

Thats kinda what I was getting at earlier.

Move the batteries, to the rear under the bed, just behind the bumper, run cables to the original cables in the front. 80'lbs taken off the front and moved to the back will help a bit.

Just for $hits $ giggles, similar to what McRat mentioned, try tossing a 100lbs of weight in the back of the bed against the gate. Lead bars just in front of the rear bumper. Disconnect the front sway bar.... Just thinking out loud.....
