I seem to recall the mention of a TSB concerning the 2-piece driveshaft on a 2001 Duramax. Does anyone out there recall this TSB and if so could you post it for me. My truck "bumps" sometimes right after I stop, kind of feels like someone lightly hit me from behind. This is my first time on the site and so far I am enjoying reading all the comments. :)

With the condition you describe, the 2 piece driveshaft will not address your concern. The 2 piece driveshaft will fix launch shudder only.Launch shudder is the vibration from a dead stop on accel to usually 8-10 mph.
The problem you describe is caused by a slip/stick condition of the driveshaft splines. As you stop the rear of the truck raises up and the driveshaft slides out. With your foot still on the brake it remains out till usually you take your foot off the brake and then BOOM the driveshaft slides in an it feels like you were rearended.
The fix is a special lubricant from GM to put on the splines.Brake clean front yoke and apply thin layer to yoke splines. Tim
