Decided on getting N-Fab step bars for my DA, thanks to this site. But getting them here, has been absolute he!! I ordered them through Rock Mountain Suspension (again due to posts here). They and N-Fab have been pretty decent to work with, but one major complaint, neither one has called me once to give me a status. They have returned my calls, but all calls inquiring the status of my order has been initated by me.

I ordered the 4 step bars with Bonded chrome powder coat, on 3/14. They arrived yesterday, damaged in shipment. One end of the box was smashed, and the front ends of the tubes were scratched up and bent in. When I called N-Fab to tell them, they asked for pics, and said they'd file a claim and probably send me a new set. I am waiting on them to tell me what they are going to do. Below are some of the pics I sent them. Needless to say, I'm so mad I could chew nails right now. Sorry, just venting and ranting. :damnit1:

that is bummer, I am considering them as well. were they not packed well or rough handling ? both ? why so long to ship ?

"probably send a new set" this customer service is not enticing me to buy....

Just an FYI since I am paranoid about personal info leaks, your license plate on your bike is visible

The shippers absolutely abused the box, it had to have been dropped from a fairly good height, right on the end. One of the box end caps was missing completely, and all the staples holding the box to gether had been ripped out, the box was held together with pieces of packing tape.

There several things causing the delay, RM had ordered the wrong part number, didnt find that out till I called N-Fab asking status, they were held up by the powder coater cause he didnt have the bonded chrome, .......

Thanks for the heads up on the LP, I'll fix that.

They will more than likely ship you a new set..I had one come in the wrong color..sent them pics of it and they sent out a new one.
As far as shipping..their packaging has been a problem from the get go..these bars should be shipped in a wood crate and cardboard box is not beefy enough to be shipped truck freight.

I talked to N-Fab again this afternoon, and they're going to re-mfg a new set, get it P/C, and shipped by next friday (hopefully). They were pretty amazed at the damage.

Yep, I agree, a cardboard box for bars that weigh almost 90 lb is not sufficient, especially for freight, definately should go wood crate, but that'd probably increase the cost quite a bit, so what are ya gonna do?
