Just A thought I had while reading another post about fingersticks.

Are the LLY trucks with dead kittys and blocked EGRs passing emissions tests? I know that my truck will have to get tested in 4 years I think. I guess if I do the upgrades it woudlnt' be that hard to put them back on just for the emissions test.

Diesels have been tested here for several years now. I've heard that new vehicles don't have to be tested for the first 4 years after purchase, but not sure about that.

In Maryland, with my "Farm Tags" I will be emissions exempt when they start testing them. As far as if it would still pass the sniff test? I don't know.

Hey WAskier,

I too live in WA and when I asked the service tech at my dealership about aftermarket exhaust and whether they would give me grief about removing the cat...he said he wouldn't, but that I would need it for emission testing. I didn't dig any deeper than that, I guess I figured that mean't that it would not pass the test...??

Check with your State, ({State}.gov).

Bet your Mama still wipes your butt, (MWB).

It needs to be physically present or you do not pass. Whether it would pass without it or not, it probably would but if the tech see's it ain't there, you fail.
