Well I have finally started planning for a transmission upgrade. I really like the simplicity of the TTS triple disc and Transgo . For my measly power levels I think it would hold up and perform just fine.
So here is my question.
Does this setup require and EXTREME pcm and a TTS triple disc?
After reading the TTS website it appears Steve was working with Transgo at the ground floor to design a kit type of product.
So would a TTS converter/transgo work just as well with a Quad tuner?
Would a transgo work with a Hughes or Suncoast converter and a Quad tuner?
When I say work, I mean if I leave it at 110 for daily driving will my shifts be as predictable as stock? I would only kick up the power levels for the annual visit to the dragstrip.
Obviously the TTS total package would net an overall better package but I already have the Quad tuner and I might already have a non TTS converter.

You do not need to run the Extreme with the Transgo/TTS setup. It will handle the Extreme if you decide to go that route.
However you might consider the ATS Copilot as well. Guys who are doing extensive racing at HP levels above 450rwhp are finding that the Transgo is showing slippage at random times, probably due to learning.
If you don't anticipate going over 450HP or extensive racing, you should be fine no matter what "built" convertor you run with the Transgo, and you can skip the Copilot.
IMO.

Thanks McRat.
Seems like the right way to go. A Transgo and a well built triple disc. I will replace all clutch packs with factory replacements while I am in there.

On Edit, I must add that if you are going to buy a converter the TTS is the best I have experienced for low speed torque multiplication. Sure there are other converters that will do a great job but............
This is strictly a drivability issue. I have not experienced a reduction in my 60ft times with the TTS converter. It just makes my 7500lb truck feel like a 6500lb truck in my day to day driving. :D

The only built T/C I've run is the TTS. Zero problems, and it dropped .15 off my ET.

There is the ATS triple disc but I am not sure if needs the copilot or not?
There is the TTS of course.
There is also the Suncoast triple disc.
All proven players.
I noticed Hughes sales a triple for 1350.00
Also TCI just released there converter.
Are they any good? I might try the Hughes.

I think you should buy a Hughes. They are painted bright red. That is so cool. Word is there is a shortage on the TTS.
