Everyone -
Howdy. Just wanted to reaffirm to everyone that a symptom of hard starting on the 6.6 could be a early indication of injector failure. I saw another member post a thread early this week stating basically the same thing. My '03 2500HD D/A has been hard to start for a couple of weeks. I changed the fuel filter earlier than usual as I thought this might be the problem. Seemed to help for about 3 or 4 days. However, after pulling my boat last weekend, I again noticed the truck was very hard to start, especially when the engine at normal operating temp. I checked for fuel leaks, air in the system, etc. I did not find any problems. So, I took the truck in this morning to the dealer for a diagnostic. Dealer checked it out for about 45 minutes or so and then informed me that it had an injector leak and that they would replace all 8. Truck is scheduled for drop-off next Monday. Hope this information might help someone.
