(From norcaltruck.com obviously)

I have them on my truck and I have to say they look bigger in person... they dwarf the stock tie rods when you put them next to each other...

We sell the Rareparts Tierods but do not have them listed on the site yet. The Fabtech is a better buy for the money, they run about 30% less. Send me a PM if you need a set and I will hook it up:)

I see you can buy tie rod sleeves from rough country for $35, anyone have any experience with these?

The mild steel tie rod sleeves tend to rust to the tie rod.

I second that. I put these on. They are very impressive-looking. I don't worry about my 4WD launches now.

Nick at NORCAL is an awesome person to work with. I heard the FABTECH ones only work with FABTECH knuckles and factory knuckles need to be drilled out.

Thanks guys for the referrals :)

We don't have the Rereparts tie rods and did see them on TV as well. Not bad looking but I have no back ground with them.

I do specialize in many steering upgrades that GM owners upgrade with. In tie rods we have the Fabtech and Cognito heavy duty tie rods. I can not say we have a for sure test on what will last longer or be stronger but one selling feature on the Cognito tie rods that I feel is great, if and when you do need to replace a tie rod end we have the Cognito style sold in inner or outer sections so you do not need to buy a complete kit again (Fabtech sells as set only). Other than that we have sold many Cognito HD tie rods and have had great luck with them. For the money they are great and to the job perfect.

Let me know if you need any other info and here is the link to see them on our site if you would like: http://www.norcaltruck.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=2_385&products_id=978

It is a good idea to add the Cognito sway bar end links to add alittle more clearence to the tie rod boot at full turn and drop out. We have seen where they can pinch the boot and then it will spit grease.

These are VERY strong but more than needed and also the heim ends will not last as long as the sealed unit. Best bang for the buck are the HD style.

Here are some comparison picture's -
From bottom to top:
OEM
OEM w/Sleeves
Rare Parts
Fabtech
The sleeves and Rare Parts will work with stock/lifted/ or lowered trucks, the Rare Parts are more money and very nice. We have all of these options available for members
