Ordered John Kennedy's 5" exhaust (starts 4" below the turbo and goes to 5" after the muffler). Only problem is that the muffler has two 4" outlets. How do I transition from the 4" outlet on the muffler to the 5" tailpipe? HELP!

Sounds like he sent you the wrong muffler?

Thats exactly what my thoughts were. In which case I'm a little bummed as I was all ready to get busy with this monster. Any negatives to running straight (no muffler) till I get the right part?

Hey, these things happen. Everyone makes mistakes. Kennedy will probably see this soon if not, give him a call first thing tomorrow morning. Who knows maybe he will overnight one to you with Saturday deliver. :lol:

No there is no problem running it without a muffler except that I doubt the pipes are long enough to allow them to join without the muffler. Also I don't know how you would convert from 4" to the 5" tailpipe.

In regards to running "straight", I meant hook up the turbo-down, then the next section that ends behind the CC cab and leave the muffler/tail section OFF until I get ahold of Kennedy? Is this too hot? Too loud? Bad for backpressure? I'm running a truck that I bought in ID, so its not one of the northeast or CA trucks. Ideas?

BTW, that wasn't a bang on Kennedy. Parts got here FAST, looks real nice/professional, and clamps/hangers are stout. If this is the only little detail to contend with, I'm still happy. Just itchy to get the new toy on!

It will probably be too loud. Might also melt something and it would definately soot up under the truck. I would just hold off.

My apologies. The correct muffler was listed, but the wrong one was sent. Correct unit will be shipped and a call tag issued for the incorrect one.
