I've read a lot of mixed reviews about these filters, mostly from folks with newer gassers w/ MAF problems, although a couple folks said they had fuel injector issues as well. Anyone here run them, what do you think for the 6.2? I figure anything that helps my diesel breathe better is good, but if the ''oil'' they use causes this much trouble I can't be certain it's worth it.

the oil they use in those filters won't cause any damage for our diesels, heck we burn oil so, also in every vehicle I have owned I've ran with a K&N Air Filter, best filter made.

I would not put a KN-filter in my truck. Now I have a AFE-filter, but thats no good, either.

its not the oil that messes with the vehicles electronics, its the dirt that they allow through that cakes on everything.... oil isnt bad especially on a diesel... but dirt inside the motor causes a lot of problems... while every other company on the market spends mmoney on R&D and trying to improve flow over stock and filter better, K&N puts their money into advertising and using old technology.. I wouldnt run K&N on my lawnmower let alone my truck

Agreed. there was a K&N in my truck for a little bit and the amount of dirt stuck in the oil from the CDR was disgusting.

A K&N air filter lets in more air, but it lets in more dirt with that air. They sacrifice filtration for flow. I wouldn't use anything that sacrifices filtration for a little bit more flow on anything when it comes to the air filter.

Get yourself the stock filter with the pre-filter and run that. I've got one in my blazer and it's fine. I"ve got a stock(Wix) air filter in my 6.5 as well and it flows enough air.

K&N = Overpriced Junk. If you want to use an aftermarket filter get one from S&B or Amsoil.
