I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not. I have a 04 2500hd A/D with only 18000 miles. The problem is when you are going down the road or when you take off from a stop you can hear the valves or something raddling very loud. Sometimes it does it sometime it don't. I was pulling my boat last weekend when it made a sound like it had ran out of oil. I lifted out of the gas and it quit. No lights have come on. I had it check at the dealer and they said nothing was wrong and was not showing "trouble codes". What they told me does not mean s%$t to me. I know something is wrong. This winter the truck when setting at a redlight would start ideling ruff and blow smoke. Again nothing could be found wrong. The winters were not that cold this year. Can anyone can help with this problem?

Well, what did they tell you? If it didn't mean anything to you, fine, it might be something we can interpret.

Have you changed your fuel filter yet? Starvation of fuel from a plugged filter would be one thing to check.

Is your truck bone stock? And performance stuff?

Baron, you might want to re-start this post in the engine forums. Do you know if you have the LB7 (early) Dmax or the newer LLY? Your sticker should say if you don't know. In this "accessories" forum you're not getting the type of visibility you need.
