When I shake my wifes' Duramax side to side there is a clunking sound. I hold the back tire and just shake it. It almost sounds like the wheel is loose but it is not. Any suggestions?

Check the leaf springs.There has been some issues with them clanking over bumps,perhaps that is it

I guess I should of wrote what the truck was. It is a 2005 Chevy Duramax Crew Cab , short bed. Only has 2500 miles on it and the sound is only on the rear drivers side.
