I am thinking about swapping in a new cam for more torque for towing. What do y'all think of this one?

It doesn't look like a bad cam but its really not much larger then stock. Here is were I buy my LS cams from and have had good results.

You can get the cam, pushrods and valve springs for $600. For towing and such I would go with a TR 220 or if you want to keep the stock idle then go with the "Old Man Truck Cam" both will have more power from idle to max rpm. My buds running the 224 Cam in his 6.0, it has a lopey idle, sounds mean, and still has more lowend torque then stock but way more power after 4,000+ . It pulls hard to 6,500rpm with headers on as well.
If you do headers, a Cam and tuning it will run very strong. There is also a 20hp diff by running a K&N filter after the above is done.

that is too big for towing...
get the next step up which is the 265 (212/218) or the 269 (216/220)... anything bigger will probably not help for TOWING..... im going with the 212/218 myself cause it is a proven cam and ive had it in 2 of my other trucks aswell.. here is the specs from thunderracing..
63-LS-212/218 Comp Cams LS1 Camshaft - 212 / 218 .522 / .529 114 LSA 1200-6000 RPM Power Band. Excellent low-end power. Mild Camshaft, great for automatic cars with the stock or mild aftermarket torque converter and daily drivers. Works well with Crane 1.8 Roller Rockers. $404.99 Buy Wish
63-LS-216/220 Comp Cams LS1 Camshaft - 216 / 220 .525 / .532 114 LSA 1300-6300 RPM Power Band. Computer Tuning Required with automatic transmission cars. This has proven to be a very well balanced camshaft in that it makes good power across the entire RPM range. Works well with Crane 1.8 Roller Rockers. View Dyno Graph $404.99

When I talked to Thunder Racing about getting a Cam for a 6.0 they told me the smallest one they would recommend is the TR220 and I accually went with the TR224 Cam. This cam stalls with the stock converter over 2600rpm and pulls any load better then it did before. But it does have a noticable idle. The Thunder Racing cams have faster ramps then the Comps and that is why you can't run a higher rocker ratio with the Thunder Racing Cams but you can with a Comp, the faster ramps make more power and torque all the way.
Just call Thunder Racing and let them know what you want out of it and they will help.
