general concencious is unless you really know what your doing with the tuning i would leave the defuel in place . and havent seen any of the off the shelf tuners like ppe/edge that i would run with out defuel .

The HOT+2 ET runs good without defuel. It shifts fast and firm, really nothing too harsh. The only time it seems to be a problem is when towing over about 6k on levels 3 and up. When towing a little heavy the shifts do get abrupt and tend to jerk. I normally try to tow on level 2 which does defuel. I do have a tranny that was built by PPE, I don't know if they do anything special to their trannys to make them work good with the PPE programers or not, but the setup does seem to work well.

Could you not just turn the defueling down? run it at like 50 precent or 25 at which it was. This is assuming you have efi Live.

it can be set to what ever you want it to be with efi , but what percentage will the trans hold up to ? what table do you change the percentage, there is no table labeled "de-fuel" , what part of that table only effects WOT shift , the one labeled de-fuel in the tcm is the one you dont want to disable , like i said it should be left to those that know excactly what there doing , and who have done it enough to know what the trans will take . basically leave it to the profesional tuners, i know i have :)

Defuel does not slow you down. It does save your trans. firm shifts in the Alli are not good. They are tie ups.

The percentages in the EFI Live are for the 8.1L. You can tweak your torque limited injection quantity which is your defuel table, but to be honest, I would leave it alone.
