I need to know if I can run a Goodyear Futera 265/70R16 on my Vehicle.
The tire place says it is not rated for my vehicle because the tire pressures do not match the Manufacturers recommendations???? 55Front-80Rear
The Tires I purchaced are rated at 41 PSI
Any assistance would be appreciated

What is the LOAD RANGE of the tire.. sounds like you are looking at a "C" instead of an "E"

my Revos, 285's, are a load range of D. I wouldn't go lowert than that. If you are considerring 265's, you need to stay around the load range of E. Plus I don't know of anyone running Goodyears. My dad ran them on his 1500 and they didn't last more than 20k. He has some firestones now and has no issues with tires. 28k miles on them and less than half the wear.

The Goodyear Fortera line of tires are for SUV's, and are actually a (P)Passenger Car rated tire, they are not LT designated tires, which is why they do not have the appropriate load rating. General rule is you can replace P tires with LT tires, but should not do the reverse, as you affect your trucks load capacity and towing characteristics. Some guys who do not tow put P-Metric tires on aftermarket rims for the size availability and bling, also higher speed ratings, but you may find dealers who refuse to do it, there is a liability issue.
Your load ratings for that tire are as follows;
2105lbs at 26psi
2216lbs at 29psi
2326lbs at 32psi
2403lbs at 35psi

Stick with load range E. You'll have a decent safety margin. Absolutely no good to run without it.

Got it, thanks for the info.
I am searching for a tire for the truck now with a load rating of E
I think I will stick with the Bridgestone, geez I hate to ask I know I have seen this before but what is everyone running in 265 ????
