yeah i got dipricol gauges too and still have not hooked up my dam fuel pressure gauge, its mechanical(has isolator and all so not running fuel in cab) not electrical style that everyone on here was getting and hooking to bleeder screw on top of fuel filter. i dont know wher to tap into with it its been months still have not found wher then the guy i bought em from sent me some fitting said i pull a hose off the cp3 somewher install the fitting and hook the hose back up to one port on the fitting and the isolator going back to the gauge on the other fitting on port helll i cant even find wher this fitting would go either so still lost

I do believe you two are talking about 2 different gauges. Hurtman has a Rail Pressure gauge, that shows rail pressure in the Fuel rail before it goes into the injectors. D-nasty-max are referring to a fuel pressure gauge that reads the fuel pressure on the low pressure side of things, from the tank to the CP3. You're talking about 2 vastly different readings here. With a set of lift pumps you looking 10-20 psi on the low pressure side, that you would hook up to the test port or to the filter bulk head.
A RP gauge will be reading over 20,000 psi in the rail, sometime as high as 26,000. So it's two entirely different readings, one is pre-CP3, and one is post CP3.

As for Hurtman, it was my understanding that PPE has some private label gauges from Diprocol ( I think) but they are scaled only for the LBZ fuel system currently. You can buy one, and have someone rescale your ECM with EFI, but for the LLY, there is no current plug and play gauge. PPE has said for the last 2 years they are "one month away" from releasing the LLY Gauge, and I am now convinced 100% that this release will never, ever happen. Unless something's changed, I think the Diprocol guage is plug and play for Cummins only.
Sorry, if you figure out a way to make it work, let us know.

mines 0-30 fuel psi gauge from dipricol with isolator i just wanna hook it up properly to waht matters to get the reading thats important i figured closer to the fuel rail was that! its wired up and installed in pillar with the other gauges jus need to be hooked up for reading, understood most members were hooking up to bleeder screw on top of factory fuel filter but think its different style gauge then mine or something

It's the same type of gauge that you have. You don't have a rail pressure gauge.

What are you trying to read with this gauge? A fuel pressure gauge on the low pressure style will show you that you're lift pumps are working. If you don't have a set of pumps, it will show nothing.
The setup and gauge you are describing is to measure the output from your aftermarket lift pumps, as Dmax's don't have factory lift pumps, so they're will be no reading. You can either hook it up at the bleeder screw port, or the test port near the alternator. There is a picture of a removable gauge in my garage hooked up to my test port, so you can see where it is. Tony Burkhard made me a fitting to go into the test port to hook up a low pressue fuel gauge, but I haven't got around to hooking mine up yet.
There are a bunch of threads concerning this if you search as well.

No problem, good luck.

Still trying to figure it out was told that I possibly need to in stall a resistor on the gauge but as of now still don't work. It acts like the ECM is not getting the correct reading after the gauge is plugged in. I quote yes this will work on 05 LLY and I promise not to _ _ _ in your mouth.

Please keep us apprised, I'd love to see if this works, but I'm skeptical.
Good luck.

I'll keep you posted as too what I find out, although I've talk to a couple of guy that are running them in the 5.9 and they said that they have had some issues one was with a digital gauge that fluctuates to fast to even read the pressure drop and the other was it was temperamental one day it works great and the next it don't.

Yeah, even on Danin's (company that makes Dipricol gauges) website, it says This gauge is sold only in a rail pressure kit designed for Dodge Cummings engines. (love the fact they mis-spell Cummins). So, like I said, I'm pretty sure it won't work, but what do I know?

Just got word the guy I was talking to at diprocal got his cart in front of his horse and sold me a gauge that doesn't work for LLY duramax yet. PPE is suppost to release these wiring harness in July. I hope he meant July of 09 other wise I just bought a very expensive dash decoration, but I was told that I'm on the list for the first available wiring harness, I plan on riding them like a cheap suit!!!! I'll post somthing up when I get my hands on the right harness.

That is what I was afraid of. PPE has been saying "one more month" for about 2 years now, so I'm not optimistic in the least that by July we'll have a harness that works. However, I'd love to be wrong and have PPE step up and make this happen.
When you hear something, let us know.
Thanks!

I will keep you posted, cause right now I've got a very expensive dash decoration.
