well while at the mud run my 6.2 made a knocking sound so I parked it by the time I got it home.. no knock but a little noisier under the bottom...the first was like a ticking sound.... so my thought is maybe I have a week mainbearing... when it gets warm it ticks cools off it's okay...
2) problem... the rear main seal 3 weeks ago just started leaking... I loaded it of the trailer (was at a car wash) and just sitting there it started dripping....

so I guess what my question here is... can I drop the pan like a gasser 350 and replace the main bearnings and connecting rod bearings and of course check for the infamous 6.2 engine/crank cracks..

Check your CDR value first. It's usually the cause of a RMS drip.

Yes you can drop the pan and change out the seal as well as get access to all the lower bearings. It's a huge PITA but well worth extending the life of the motor! Search for the several rear main seal threads in this forum.
