well lately i had trouble with the boost falling as i gained it. it would hit 10-14 and drop to 4-6 and then to 8-10 then about 6. up and down, and up and down again! this robbed the power!

changed the selonoid at the 2 vaccum lines, and the sensor on the top of the intake (boost pressur switch or something like that?)

nothing fixed it. checked all the line, great shape. still ????? what is the problem???

got to looking and found the vaccum lines we backwards on the selonoid. the line towards the fire wall goes to the waste gate, and the line on the motor side goes to the engine vaccum side.

problem fixed and running a solid 14-15 boost!

Don't you love it when something so incredibly simple fixes a huge problem:rolleyes: Makes you upset and happy as hell at the same time.

this is my first diesel, so i am learning as i go! i drive the boys to school this morning and it was a solid 15 lbs of boost and dad had a HUGE grin!
