This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know where the interior air filter is located on my 2005 Silverado Crew Cab Dually? I read on the Chevrolet site that they are standard on the LS, and remember briefly reading about it in the owner's manual, but I don't think it told where it is located.

Thanks:)

I think they stopped putting those in at the 2003 model year. My 2002 had them and my 2004 does not.

I thought those were done away with after the 2002 model year. In the 1999-2002 trucks they were under the passenger's dash. There was 2 or 3 screws to take the molded plastic off and like one that would hold the filter cover on. The filters were closer to the the hump IIRC. In those trucks there were 2 filters. Hope this helps.

Well, It briefly says something about the filter in the owner's manual and I was t doing a compare on the Chevrolet website just for kicks on the 2005 3500 LS, and it said "standard" on the Chevy, and not available on the Ford and Dodge. The owner's manual wasn't very helpful if I recall correctly, and even had one of the famous "If equipped" statements.

Looked all over on my 2000 2500 and couldn't find it. Found out it wasn't there because I had plow prep package. Looked all over for it on my 2003 2500HD and couldn't find that one either (plow prep too). Gave up. I'm assuming my 2005 2500HD is the same even though I don't have plow prep. I don't recall the manual saying anything about it and at this point I guess I don't much care...

Whadja do? Stink up the cab? Shame on you. Us farmers keep our barnyard boots in the bed or toolbox so if we step in somethin' we don't track it inside.
