Hi guys, my 6.5 died on me 2 weeks ago going down the road. It got progressively worse. Had it towed home. I changed lift pump, ip pump, fuel filter, and it still runs the same. Rough, with no power. I also took off the fuel cap, and checked the fuel selonoid. Any suggestions?

Injectors maybe? Bad batch of fuel? It's kinda weird that it happened so suddenly and hasn't changed with all the parts you have replaced. How many miles are on your injectors? The rule of thumb is change them at 100,000 miles. A failed injector would definately cause rough running and low power.

He says its gotten progrssively worse, aka problem has become more persistant.... Have you done anything with the pmd?? Where is it, how new is it?

Yeah, i thought of injectors too, because I have run the veggie grease. 177,000 miles on the van, don't know if the injectors are original. I talked to a few diesel mechanics, and they said it didn't sound like injectors. BUt what else could it BE!!? I just don't want to put 200 into injectors, to have it not be that. When I bled each injector after replacing the IP pump, each one is firing, to some degree, because I could hear that cylinder drop off. And there is NO PMD. The 95 vans has mechanical lift, and IP pumps.

Try to put regular diesel w/ some cleaning diesel additive see if it solved the problem.
