Ok my buddy just bought a 02 dmax with 92k on it and before he signed the papers went crazy buying stuff for it like a 4in straight piped exhaust and intake. he asked me what chip or programmer should he get and i said edge of course and he was like well you have it and ive drove yours i want something different, just to see what it would do. i was like ok. so he bought the bullydog dyno dominator with the outlook monitor. i told him i didn't quite like that choice becuz of yalls comments about it. he was o it would be ok. well today he got it and installed it. well listen here. he put it on the 75% and i don't know if he got on it or what he said at 85 mph it just went to s**T, like it acted like it just blew he said the rpm's went crazy. he said it threw 2 codes both dealing with the tranny. he said he backed off immeaditely. he says it drives ok stock but it still sounds alil funny. what do yall think happened and who is the closeset and cheapest that does with the performance part of the allison to Friona, Tx. Thanks

He limped the transmission. Too much power for the stock transmission. Tell him to keep it under 90hp over stock until he is ready to spend some money on the transmission.

so it will be ok, he said as soon as it happened he pulled over and tried to put it in reverse and it just flashed. but now it goes into reverse but it makes a funny noise.

trans pressure sylinoid, and transmission system malfunction are the 2 codes it threw and he said he cleared those and when he cuts it off it makes alil rattle noise.

If you find a tranny shop around either Friona or Amarillo, let me know. I am in Dumas and have been looking for a shop to do my tranny.
