ok, its been a week and i'm still trying to chase this engine vibration.
comp is pretty good, (400psi all around), just got done replacing the injectors. switched from a dual mass to solid flywheel. (when i removed the flywheel, was told by a machine shop that it had too much play and its worn). at this point, i'm stuck. since i beleive the comp is good, i'm assuming the motor is good.
tha truck drives fine, does not stall, seems to have plenty of power just vibrates really bad.
any ideas?

check the damper pullys for deteriorated rubber,motormount/trannymount, and driveline steady brg/U-joints.
Is that vibration there when you coast,or in neutral?

idle is the worst. it does have a new crank pulley, but the harmonic balancer is original. at a quick glance it looks ok. if any, i plan on removing it mon, and inspecting it closer.
as far as motor mounts, ill check that monday. the motor was rocking bad before i did the flywheel, got batter after, but i guess it could have damaged the mounts.

How many miles/kilometers are on the engine? If you are going through the trouble of taking off the harmonic balancer, you might as well get a new one put on it, a good harmonic balancer is imperative to the well being of these engines.

243k. after throwing clutch flyweel and new injectors. i'm broke at the moment. so at about $140 for a new one, all i can do is search and look for a bad part. i only have a few more dollars left, so i need to make my next purchase count.

In that first video, it sounds like you might have a leak in your cross over pipe. Mine had a small leak and sounded just like that. Would be a nice and easy thing to look over to rule that out as a source for the sound.

Are there any cracks in the harmonic balancer or any wear on the crank? if there is, you might have bigger problems in time. i had the same problem on a gas engine but the crank was worn and it threw a rod out the side of the engine.
