I have a 07.5 LMM still stock suspension rims and tires (265-70-17). I have been looking at new AT tires as well as adding a leveling kit like the Cognito to lift the front end up and get a little more ground clearance. Warn Brush Guard and Winch really drag down the front end. Anyway this afternoon I was on a pipeline construction job and apparently ran over something on a board road(prolly nails) and have 3 flat tires with multiple holes on the sidewalls so I have to replace the tires quick. I am on a set of loaners from the tire shop right now. Anyway my plan had been to get the leveling kit, raise the front end and see how much room I gained before I decided on a tire size. Now I have to get the tires first. I feel comfortable from what I have read here on putting 285-75-17s without much issue with the stock setup. I would love to go a tad bigger if the leveling kit is going to help give me enough room. Any tips on what I might be able to fit in now and live with a little rub for a few weeks till I get the leveling kit?

Also part 2 of my question is what tires to go with. I have read all the advice on here and still not sure. I am not terribly concerned with the life of the tire my main concern is something that will have some grip in the woods but not be too loud on the road bc I am on the highway a lot. My dealer is gonna have Nitto Terra Grapplers, BF Goodritch ATs, and Hankook Dynapro ATMs. I looked at the Hankooks today and really liked them and they are available in the 10 ply I want. Havent seen anyone here talk about them tho.

I just put 295/70r17 Nitto's on my truck with just some t-bar cranking and some trimming/modifying. I have had several set's of BFG A/T's and ran my fairly worn set on this LMM a week or so while I waiting on the Nitto's.

So far I really like the Nitto's ........they are very quiet on the street and handle well. I don't know how they are going to wear.........but they definately ride much better than worn bfg a/t's. So far they don't seem to pick up rocks "as" bad.

My buddy just bought some Nitto TG's also and he's already been in the woods and said they are not all that great in the mud.......he feels like the BFG's are better. I haven't been in the woods yet to find out for myself yet !
