everytime i log into this place i always see a new injector thread. so im basically wondering what avg. km the injectors will quit.
our '02 right now has 210 *** km on it. used everyday for daily driving and towing.
I think the avg is probably right around the 100,000 mile area... mine quite at 98,000. The range is anywhere from 50,000 to 150,000 miles or more... just depends.

One nevers knows. The cleaner the fuel can be clean and moisture removed the longer they could last.

I have a friend who is a mechanic that has a customer with a 01 and nearing the 350,000 Miles mark with original injectors. I have heard some failing in under 50,000 miles so I guess it has a little to do with luck. Also the guy with 350,000 miles does not use treatment and usually is about 5 to 10 thousand miles over each oil change so I doubt he changes his fuel filter very often. I only have 68,000 miles on my 02 with no problems yet but that isn't many miles so I cant brag yet.

I always fill up at truck stops because they offer the freshest fuel, but still never when the pump truck is there, stirs up sediment in the underground tanks. Soggy fuel, or even worse, soggy fuel with debris in it will kill them quick.

#170,000 miles and no problems yet. Clean fuel helps, but is not the complete answer. There are those with extra filters and still eating the injectors in less than 100,000 miles. I've heard of others with no extra filters and going more than 200,000 miles with no problems.
Keep in mind, its the guys with problems that are going to talk about it. Those who never have an issue usually don't spend much time talking about the non-issue.
