Hey guys I have installed a Batt on my 16' car trailer to supply power to a warn winch. I have already installed the 40a fuse under the hood. ??? is it as simple as running a hot and ground wire to the batt to charge while driving or is there more to it, and what gauge wire. Any help or comments would be great.

Thanks Mike

The 7 wire plug in the back of the truck will have 12v live on it once you plug the fuse in. It will be in the terminal marked 'black' if you are looking at a male plug. White is ground.

Thanks guys for the answers, that clears things up. Do you prefer a certain gauge wire?

Maybe 10 ga (stranded) ? Your choice.
