I saw one once, Noisey and kind of slow. They were intended for customers who run lots of diesel equipment and who wanted to not have to keep two kinds of fuel(mines, construction, etc,). They never sold in big numbers, but you can find them around now and then.

it would be neat to see a turbo on one!

Thats exactly what could be done with some of the smaller turbos on ebay. You would just need a good fab guy for the tubing. The engines are extremely over built and tough (the 425 and 500 base). 8-12 psi would do wonders.

Maybe some of you smarter folks on here should take this up as a project.

I'm looking for one to mod now. I'm not one of the smarter folks or I would leave stuff well enough alone, I just love tinkering and moding and am lucky enough to have the tool to do it. Like I said before "If it ain't broke, fix it till it is"!

I heard something strange the other day. Buddy was cutting the grass and this slight "wristling" noise could be heard. I thought his Toro-Z was about to explode. I could see him out in the yard and noticed the machine was different. After a few minutes he cought sight of me a came up to show me the "new" mower. Well Censored , I'll be dammed....... it was a Gravely with a Jap "Turbo" Diesel motor! That thing was freak'n cool! I've never seen a turbo that samll before. .....Maybe one of those turbo's would fit on the Polaris? It's really small.... about 1/2 the size of med apple. I think he said it was 32HP......

I just did some searching around and it seems as though husquavarna and scag both make turbodiesel zero-turn mowers in the 31-34hp range. Look fairly awesome to me.
