Curious how many here have 19.5" wheel with heavy rated tires. Are any of you runing single wheels? How do you like them? Pros and cons?

Thanks! :ro)

I've considered. Might look into 17.5 for the trailer

Check out www.ricksontruck.com (http://www.ricksontruck.com/)

I have the SRW 225's and I will not pull my heavy trailer without them.
Not much sidewall flex, very stable, a stiffer ride when empty.
I am sold on these, 5000 towing miles last year, 20,000miles total, tread still looks new.:)

I run 245/70R/19.5's and would NOT be without them!!! I pack a pretty heavy Lance and they made an awsome difference in the way the truck carried the camper. Vision type 81 wheels, that is. Michelin XDE/MS H rated 4940 lbs. ea. !!!

How do they ride? Rough? Smooth? Same? Do they track correctly on bumps and grooves?

I ask because I have heard of some ride and tracking concerns.

Thanks:help2:

are you talking specifically about the tires? They are noisier than stock, but this expected.

cdhd2001,

They are a bit rougher riding due to heavier construction and a shorter sidewall. To me, it makes the truck ride like a truck! I bought these for peace of mind while packin' my Lance. Was way over load rating of previous 265/16's. As far as tracking, straight as an arrow loaded or empty.

Thanks! I currently run 265's but I have a custom hauler bed, so not much weight capacity left for the 5th wheel. Dually is out of the question, so this seems to be my only other option.

Seems the tire size recommended is 225?

225's recommended due to the lack of wheelwell space on our GM's. They are close to the height of a 265, 245's are almost 3" taller therefore requiring some mods to fit, still end up with some rub.
