I just bought a ppe an tryed to put it on today an there was an error so i took it in to the dealership to have it reflashed an they said it was locked what should i do???? buy a new computer

Do you have factory radio ? Or a line level mod. for the factory radio ? When i had the input mod. i had to put a fuse in it so i could drop the power off 12 vdc and then the ppe would load fine

i just have the factory radio an when i plug it in it brings up an error code

having similar problem, but gm reflash went fine. greg nelson from nelson diesel performance is helpin me out right now with it.(excellent guy to work with)call ppe tech line and ask for dan. im sure he can get ya worked out. there is a fix.....just need to figure out which one. not sure but if it was tuned by another tuner it can lock the ecm,may have to send it to ppe. call em they will get ya goin

cant remember name of it but there is a guy who swears he can get upper 20s and 30 plus miles per gallon.........just googled it, powerupdiesel.com called the duramileage. its a tune that supposedly gives you those mpg. you have to send them the ecm and they reprogram it. they probably lock it up so the tune cant be copied. i dont know if you can contact them and maybe they have your vin on file......then you would know what it was.as far as gettin it off i dont know if someone besides the company that locked it could get it off? did you try ppe yet?

no i havent tryed them yet... should i call them???? cause the dealership just wants too buy a new computer for 1000 or a used one for 275
