I towed my friends Weekend Warrior trailer this weekend. His Excursion was broke down so I offered to help, I ended up really embarrassed. We towed his 14,000lb 30foot trailer about 30 miles to his house. He had to pick up a couple of things (tire covers, trailer cover ect.) before he took the trailer to storage. This took about 20 minutes. We go back to my truck and it turns over but NO start. Oh my God, so friggin embarrassed. So I unplugged the two BIG plugs the edge plugs into and plugged them back together. Tried again and NO start. Unplugged them again and No start. Third times the charm and it finally started. Do you guys think I’m getting a bad connection at the connectors (2 big engine control plugs)? Or maybe a heat related problem? My truck worked really hard pulling that trailer. if YOU NEED MORE INFO I'LL SUPPLY IT, JUST LET ME KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. Thanks All<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I'm leaning towards a bad plug connection because this happened before when I removed the edge. I did the whole plug and unplug thing and my truck started.

Possibly a loose wiring harness? I've seen some posts on injector failures possibly due to the harness.

Anybody else have any ideas??

Thats a hard call, the excessive cranking maybe finally building enough vacuum/fuel pressure at the injectors to start. If it does it again, try priming the fuel system till the plunger is hard to push and see if it starts then.

Thanks guys,

I'll keep that in mind. Any TSB's on bad wiring harness'?
