i was home on leave last week and put these in. i wanted to do a total picture step by step, but alas, i forgot many steps so i figured I would just show the finished project. So going L to R we have :
- new crossover from Warpspeed compared to the old one which surprisingly came off very easily. New one on; not so much. Took a little finesse to get that last bolt to thread.
-RT side from underneath; crossover and new DP from Diamond Eye
-LT side from underneath
- from DP going towards the back
-fabbed hanger(2nd one in line) A little disappointed in "one size fits all" as even with a CCLB I had to cut it down to fit and hanger probs
-next two: muffler on back
- The end! No fancy chrome tip for me, thank you.
- pillar setup
-boost probe install; worked well although after buying fittings of around $10, buying boost bolt might have been the way to go.
- exhaust probe- never tapped before and not sure if I want to again :)
- transmission temp probe- the inspection port behind the shift controller; too easy
All in all, not too bad to do. The worst of things was the exhaust. Takes a little forethought on which pipe to cut to keep clamps out of bad places and also the hanger deal was an aggravation. I don't weld so I had a local shop, Black Widow Diesel, fab it up. When I told them the manufacturer of the kit, they understood my problem right away. Price for the kit was worth it, though.
I also took a video of the truck "singing" its new tone; I'll try to get it up later.
