My truck is totally stock except for the 285/75/16's. From a dead stop and flooring it it just goes. Is there some secret to it or are the large tires the problem? Just thought it would be fun once in a while!!!

power brake it... hold the brake pedal a little bit and nail the throttle... I didn't tell you that though, some people around here might get mad at me):h

even with the *****y 245 stockers mine wont smoke'em from a standstill unless i boost it up a little. :o:

My 03 wouldn't do it either... Sad because while my 98 Vortec 7400 won't smoke em' (W/O brake) it would tear them loose anytime I asked and that was with 33"X12.5 a/t's on there. Drop the hammer and the scream from the rubber was louder than the bark from the exhuast. It's a wonder what 4.10 gears can do for you.

my 6.0 cant even do power braking unless the roads are wet... :mad:

my 6.0 with a 5 spd wouldnt break em loose either, traded up :D

thats about the only thing the stock tires are good for IMO.

Maybe I should put my stockers back on just to roast 'em :D

I had to do that yesterday just as a test to verify my locker was working. Sorry tranny guys. Only laid 6' strips.....
