Yes you will throw codes if you get rid of the cat and get a free flowing muffler. And i believe that will also turn on the check engine light, anyone please correct me if im wrong. Although there are ways to fix these codes/light as you probably know.

I went with the cat back MBRP "Cool Duals" No lights, no warranty worries and they sound good to boot. Not real loud, but a nice rumble. Just my preference though.

The standard cat back system will not throw any trouble codes. Remove the cat with the optional front-pipe and there WILL be codes. Some trucks will throw on the SES light, some will not. If you live in Cali you can be sure to see the light, if you have a federal truck, flip a coin. Hope this helps.

I think the cat is a very large restriction Besides legel reasons there dont seem to be many negatives to getting the catless frontpipe. I plan on gettin the flanged frontpipe so i can reinstall the cat if later nessisary. The cat also quiets down the turbo:eek: that reason in is enough to justify running catless right there :) .
