I've got about 15,000 miles and it looks like my rear diff is leaking from the plug. Doesn't look serious, just looks like its spreading out from the fill plug. I don't do any heavy towing and drive pretty easy on it. Is this normal... or is it time to test out the warranty? Can post pics if need be.

If it were me I'd take the 3 minutes to pull the plug, spray it off with some brake clean and put a dab of silicone on the sealing surface and call it good. It beats wasting 2 hours bringing it to the dealer to have them do the same thing.;)

Awesome idea... what type of silicone should I use and I guess there is some spray can brake cleaner??. Yeah i really don't feel like flashing the truck back to stock then explaining the exhaust and all that crap.

yea i've never really worked on my own stuff before so pardon my ignorance or just downright stupidity. With that said what kind of silicone?

Im not sure on the silicon. The oil level should not be above the whole causing it the leak. I would open it up and let a little drain out then retorque bolt.
