I had the new steering shaft put in a few months back (which is starting to knock again). When I picked it up it had a moaning/rubbing sound when turning left. Today they replaced the steering gear to fix that. Now I have excessive play in the steering. I can swing the wheel back and forth by a couple of inches at the outside of the wheel without getting any response from the steering. I know it was not like this before the steering gear was replaced today.

Questions are: Is this excessive play? Is this an easy adjustment? I'm hoping to get the dealer to fix this while I wait.

I can't fuss too much about this dealer. Up to this point their service has been stellar. I hope things aren't changing.
