Is there any step by step threads on here for the EFI Live? I found the run script sticky but how to you transfer it over to the scanner and then the truck?
Also, anyone in the Fairbanks, Alaska area that would like to help me out?

Have you tried any of the tunes from the library? I am not too good with the LBZ's but I am willing to bet there are a couple good tunes there for you to start with.
Best thing to do is to tune into your OS and load with the tab labeled "Load with current calibration"

You take a script and run it against your stock tune with the Tune program V7.5. Once done you connect the flashscan II to the OBDII port and to the USB on the computer. Use the Tune software and upload into the ECM. At this time there is no stand-alone tune upload like you describe.
No idea what script you have but hopefully works with the LBZ or maybe you have the LLY which in 2006 is considered a detuned LBZ. Just cant use a script based on a LB7 on LBZ tune. Way to many differences that can arise without fully reading the script.
There are a few free tutorials from Nick at www.duramaxtuner.com

I will truy that when I get to the house. I do have an 06 LLY. Nick said it was pretty much the same as a LBZ. Thanks for the input. I will let you guys know when I put it in. Another thing, when I scan my truck and the OS comes up do I use that as my stock? Reason I ask is I tried that yesterday and then tried to run a hot tune script but it wouldn't let me. Any ideas?

I can't compare scripts! It's saying that I have a different operating system than the currently loaded calibration. I do have a LLY by the way. I was told it is pretty much the same as a LBZ. What should I try?

Now my truck won't start. I think I erased the ECM. Do I just load it up again?

To script you need to use 2 files with the same OS, then apply those changes to your stock tune with the different OS. Have a look through the tune library and find a stock tune with the same OS as the tune you want to script and you'll be right to go.
Now my truck won't start. I think I erased the ECM. Do I just load it up again?
Please explain what steps you took with EFILive connected to your truck to get to this point.
Cheers

Got it going again. I think Iwas uploading a tune and I stopped it by accident. I did a full flash with one of Nick's tunes and it worked! Since I have a 2006 LLY will I have any problems uploading any LBZ tune?

You will need to full flash. A full flash changes LOTS of information behind the scenes that you/we don't access, particularly in relation to vehicle options. If the tune you full flash is from a vehicle without climate control, and your vehicle has it, you may find that in some situations it may no longer function correctly - it's not a problem, you can fix this by going back to your stock OS, or flashing another OS into your truck, but it's something to be aware of.

From all I read here should have no issues using LBZ tune on a LLY with the Bosch ECM. I read that it is a de-tune LBZ.
Should pretty much change the VIN to match yours and do full upload.
