I am sitting here at my computer day dreaming, and thought about a Trucks where they installed a shaker hood and air intake on a new <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State><st1:place>Durango</st1:place></st1:State>. Could this be possible on the Dmax? Because I think having a functional shaker hood on a big diesel would be awesome. Imagine what people would think when they saw that scoop shaking when you rev your engine at a stop light.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gif All the little rice rockets would $hi# them selves. I just don’t know if they can do that with the turbo but I am the most mechanically inclined person.

Wouldn't the shaker server a similar function as the cowl induction? My sister's Mach gets air from the shaker...

The ricers would have to get out of their cars and stand up to see the shaker (even then they might be a little short :eek: ) :D But yes, I think that would be awesome.

Yeah, them T/A's had the shaker hoods. I had a 1980 Pontiac T/A ... don't laugh, I ripped out the 301 and put in a built 400... Anyway, I opened up the shaker to get the cool air into the carb. Man, when that 4-bbl opened up it would sing. Ran open headers on that thing one evening... talk about loud....
