What would cause shuddering when you shift the transmission into reverse? Have approximately 12k miles on the SC-4. Just started doing it the past few days when putting it in reverse every time now.

Now a few days later there is about a 2 second delay and it shudders when the truck is put into reverse. Any clue as why it is doing this besides a possibility of the C3 piston leaking??? Suggestions for a quick or permanent fix?

Mine has done this for a while also. No performance loss or pieces in the pan or filters. Weird.

I am going to remove the valve body this weekend and check it out.

Figure anything out?

First off did you clear the tap cells and put the trans in fast learn with a tech 2 after you built it?
I have had this problem with only the LMM's after building the trans i was told to reset the garage taps with a tech 2 and it worked for me.

I had this problem with going into first gear (D). It wound up being one of the seals to the aply piston for the C1's. Sounds very similar to mine, started out working fine, couple of days later it started to shutter and delay as I put it in gear. A couple days after that it started to delay going into gear then shudder. Just kept getting worse. I know your won't be the c1's b/c yours in in reverse.

that was not even the issue here. That was done when it was built. Just gotta pull the valve body. Did not have time to do it this weekend
