i have a dodge 600 grain truck that needs a new exaust. My question is for this perkins 131hp non turbo engine will it require sum back pressure to run properly or can i stright pipe it? im pulling the tranny cuz the sinkronizer went and it wont shift gears so i thought i might as well do the exaust too.

thanx in advance. Aron

Turbo or non turbo, its still a diesel less backpressure = more better.

I bet its gonna be LOOOOUD.Back in the day we used to work ground with a V-8 Non-turbo Perkins with a straight pipe, in an 1150 Massey. Dad said his ears weren't right for days.
