Even the injectors are not as big a problem as many would have you believe.

how much $ are we looking at for the FRPC valve and the NBSU switch and how often do these parts go bad?

test drove an 05 reg cab plain jane dmax model tonight....friends with the dealer so he let me take it by myself all i can say is that it rides like a dream for a 3/4 ton and do those tires spin for a while on that dirt road.

any problems with the front end....joints 4x4 parts etc....?

im leary to jump for a first year model after buying a first year model SkiDoo a couple years back. but it seems like these are a well built truck 5 years for problems to rise up and there doesnt seem to be too many?

On the subject of injectors, what would it cost to replace all eight? A number of posts suggest they wear out anywhere from 80,000 to 150,000 miles. More so with the 01 and 02 model years. My 04 with 30,000 miles is flawless in every respect from day one.

104,210 miles. Injectors replaced around 82k. It still gets about 19MPG around town.

I have 82k with only replacing rear brakes and some ball joints! Still getting 18 MPG with original injectors, and no idle problem!

Engine has 5-year/100K warranty on '01 and '02 so the fpcv should be covered. NSTB is a light part and I don't think it's over $50 bucks and you can install it yourself if so inclined.

Injector warranty on '01 and '02 (maybe some early '03) was raised by GM to 200K

So getting a good '01 or '02 with low miles is a great deal with the extra warranty.

I heard on the '05 they have dropped the warranty now to 4-years/80K bummer!

Good hunting

Head gaskets at 65,000. I am into GM for over $6,000 on my Certified Used warranty.
