Making an air shut off for the puller heres some pics

Now heres where i have a qusetion, I am using a steel cable in a 3/8 pvc clear hose for a liner, and my idea to keep liner from moving at rear of truck is zip ties on each side of it, will this work or?

Why not use a 3/8 hose barb with a male thread on the opposite end that you can thread into the plate you are running it through?
