I have posted this in the LB7 forum all so
Hi I am new to this site and new to Diesel trucks (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312905#).
I am looking at two trucks both are 2004 one has 171000 miles and a LLY
the other has a LB7 and 120000 miles I need to make my choice tonihgt The LB7 is a little more money but is fully loaded I have done a warrenty history on the LB7 and it has had miner thing with the truck (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=312905#) but no motor issues I would like so imput on the two is the LLY better then the LB7?

The injector issue of the LB7 is enough to say-- go with the LLY!:rolleyes:

Well being posted in the LLY forum, you're going to get a biased opinion here. If I had to make a choice on just what you wrote, LLY without a doubt.

I don't know what year the LB7 is but lets say that its an 03. Well its injector warranty runs out next year and if its more money on the sticker then when you have to shell out another 5K for a set of installed injectors then its really going to be a lot of money. LLY has a few of its own quirks/design flaws/errors call them what you want. But each one is fixable for a couple of bucks...not a couple of thousand.

x3 with the injector issues. The lly isnt perfect but they dont eat up injectors like the lb7.A friend of mine is on his second set and has only 80,000 miles on his truck. He' s looking to sell his 04 for an 06 or 07.
