Does anyone know if you can use the stock drive shafts on a mid 80's 4x4 1/2 ton with a 6 inch lift, or do they have to be lengthened?

im using stock length on my 6"

the rear may be just a little short but it works

check the front one especially, mine was full extended with 4". i had 3 drive shafts for a 208 transfer and the lengths were all a little different. i ended up making a spacer out the mounts from a blown transfer case and a bad driveshaft, gave me an extra few inchs

Mine worked on my truck with the 6 inch lift but i used the spacer from sky jacker for the front but of course the back one worked since its a four door

diaric can you post pics or get more in depth about making the front driveshaft spacer. im going to put a 4" lift in my truck when i get the body done and money.
