Got this from a forum member, looks great, was going to install it in the morning, just wondering, is it the old style or new style?
Thanks

Looks like the CAT filter head. Same one I have on mine, and I got it from the CAT dealer.:confuzeld The number cast into the head is the CAT part number.

OLD STYLE.............

The bleeder port on the head is the CAT assembly...........that is what I have run for 30K miles without issue.

It will be just fine.

If you look at the setup 56NOMAD has in this thread http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12870, mine is simailar to his. I purchaed all the parts from CAT and assembled my own "kit", so I had to fab my bracket. I use the longer elemet (1R749)and made my bracket into a debris shield and skid plate, as it hangs lower than the frame rail. If I can get the pics loaded I will post if you wish.
