My brother and I went to the local chevy dealer yesterday. He picked out a white 2009 chevy 1500 crew cab 4x4. It has the 5.3L, 6 spd auto, 3.42 locking rear, tow package, 20" wheels, and grey cloth interior. Also has bluetooth, XM, onstar, and the like. Overall it's a really nice half-ton pickup.
The MSRP was $37,700 -- we paid $28,500 cash
doing the math, we bought the truck for 75% of MSRP.
I think right now is a good time to buy a new truck!

That sure is a good deal!
Was that an out-the-door price with tax, tag, title, etc?

Buddy of mine just priced the same truck out here in Canada. $ 35,900 plus tax. He was told there were over $10,000 in rebates to bring the truck down to this price. Great time to be a buyer.

The purchase price does not include state sales tax or the registration fees at the DMV.
For the math guys -- 28,500 / 38,000 = 75% of MSRP
38,000 - 28,500 = 9,500 / 38,000 = 25% off MSRP
