HI guys!

I'm trying to decide on which of Bill Heath's PCM upgrades to go with:

On one hand I want the Max-e torque for obvious power gains, but I don't want to have to worry about High EGT's.

If I end up going with the towing/ecomomy re-flash would I be able to install HO injectors (I'm replacing them anyways, 85,000 miles) w/out doing any major engine upgrades?

I just installed a turbo master and the only other upgrades I plan on in addition to the pcm and injectors are a Pyro guage, 2 1/2" crossover, 3" downpipe (later to 4" turbo back {no muffler or cat}).

I pull a 8,000 lb trailer about 10 times during the summer through several mountain ranges here in AK. Other than that, she's just my daily driver.

Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to call Bill Heath directly.

You will be able to run the high output injectors with the Max-e Torque and they will work quite well, with either reflash.

With the reflash and some more boost along with the 4" exhaust, I don't think you will have to worry about your EGTs while towing.

As JMJ said, you can call Bill, and discuss you personal goals/needs, because he knows what fits the best together.

i have the hp4 which for all intents and purposes is probably identical except the longer glow cycle. i also have HO injectors from heaths. i tow about 8000 lbs thru some mountainous terrain a few times a year and once i saw egt's of 1400 ONCE and backed off fast enough that i did no damage. that was over a year ago. when going uphill i keep an eye on the egt's when i see them hitting 1000 i hit the w/m spray that is straight water now. it'll stop the egt's from going any higher as long as i back off the throttle a bit. keep in mind we have a few long hills that have brake checks for trucks on the way down. that's about the only hills that cause me issues. thing is if i wanted to kill my engine i believe i could. i don't find it necessary to rocket it up the hills these days, must be getting older. as long as you don't push it and keep an eye on your egt's you'll be fine with the HO injectors and either puter upgrade. it is money well spent.
