i know this is the wrong time of the year but i was wondering if anyone has a 3500 d/a duelly ccab or excab with a snow plow on it and if so what kind of plow

not a duelly, but i do plow with my 2500hd cc. Western Pro Plus 8'

Because of the duelly you would want something at least 9'...

i'm wondering because westerns web site only recomends plowing with a duelly with a 6.0 gas engine and i've been thinking of buying an 06 duelly d/a cc or extcab

that's because of the weight of the duramax plus the crew cab with the plow would be over the front axle rating. I just run about 1000lbs of ballast in the bed and have also installed timbrens on the front end. With the plow on and raised my truck doesn't hit the stops and has plenty of travel. I am good friends with my dealer, Just make sure you clear it with them that they will cover warranty if anything happens.

the dealer part i am good with since i work there
it's sad that the frt axle cap is only 4800lbs on a gm and 6000lbs on a @#$%ing ferd nowonder i keep seeing more and more of them on my way to work every day

I have a 9' Western pro+ on mine.

Been working good for a couple of years now, i like it.

Western's web site said it was ok to put on a D/A EC as long as you put 900 lbs of ballast behind the rear axle.

Not sure which furds your looking at but I don't think Western's web site recomends any plows for a furd or dodge with a diesel and EC or CC.

That's one reason I have the gasser...Hopefully GM wakes up and ups the front axle weight and puts a plow package on a diesel cc.

I asked the same question a few months ago. I put my 8' Myers off my Dodge on a 04.5 dually ext cab.Definitely need 800lbs ballast in bed.Truck rides fine, a little low in the front though. If i had to buy a new plow would go to 9' for turns.I would like to find a kit that would raise my front end the CORRECT way! Not into just cranking bars although it seems most do.
