just changed the oil and noticed that the typewriter tick is louder than normal. has anyone noticed this before? btw i run rotella with a quart of lucas stabilizer. would the thicker mix make the tick louder? thanks in advance.

The tick is known to be there but in my experience the Lucas is contributing to it being louder. You wouldn't need the added expense of Lucas if you used a good quality synthetic and the tick would all but go away. It will go away after the oil thins out a bit when its been run and heated up a few times.
