I put 1cup (250mL) in each fuel up.

It would help others if you would list what size fuel tank you have and or how much fuel you take when you fill up. For instance I have a 34 gal tank but only take approx 28-30 on a fill up. That will help those that want to figure out your mix ratio do so. some people run 100:1 some 200:1 its all preference and what works best for you the consumer.

500ml/100-115 liters. Basically 1/2 qt/fillup.

I use 1/2oz 2-cycle from Walmart and 1/2oz PowerService in the gray bottle per each gallon of fuel. So basically 1oz of the mixture per gallon of diesel.

well I don't know gallons. I used about 250ml to 80L. PLus 250ml of diesel clean.

I think that is like almost 20 gal and 5 quarts total of oil and treatment. If my memory is right about the conversion that is alot of oil and treatment.

1 qt per 28-30 gallon fill up on a 34 gallon tank. So about 100:1

What kind of input are you looking for? Try it run some where between 100:1 and 200:1 and see what happens. It certainly won't hurt your engine or injectors to lube them at that ratio.

100:1 imo seems REALLY high! Does it add alot of white smoke

Why add two stroke oil. A good quality additive like PFFP will add lubrication/cetane/water remover/gel point lowering for probably the same cost.

100:1 does not cause any smoke.

Two cycle is cheaper and lubes better than most of the additives commonly available (at least in my area.)

It has been theorized that additives that emulsify water will transport the water past the fuel filter and contribute to fuel system damage.

I try to stay at 1oz to 1gal. I read somewhere that if you are not under 129:1 then you are not getting the benefit from adding the 2 cycle.

I like the 1oz to each gallon... Question is I just got fuel so I'm full up. Can I just poor it in or will it not mix well enough?

Thanks

ok ill try the 1oz to a gal method. i thought tranny fluid did the same thing?

I have a 34 gallon tank, I buy one 16 ounce and one 8 ounce bottle (gives a 181:1 ratio) at wal-mart for each fillup.

IIRC a 34 gallon tank needs 21.7 ounces for a 200:1 ratio.

Is everyone just using the cheap supertech stuff at Wal-Mart?

Just remember when you fill up you don't put 34 gallons in. If you put 28 in you have 6 gallons in there that are already mixed. If you put in enough for 34 each fill up you are raising your mixed ratio each time.

I dont do this . I use normal additives meant to be in there .

I use the Walmart ashless 2 stroke oil that meets the TCW-3 spec. I try to wait until I fill up and dump the oil in first. I don't have the lope at idle that I did before I started using 2 stroke oil.

Damn close though, usually 30-32 gallons which would require anywhere from 19.2 to 20.48 ounces of 2 stroke oil.

I just use some B20. Either fill it up or top it off, depends on the price.

ATF (Dexron) is an oldie. ATF works more as a super cleaner than as a lubricant. And although I would use it on infrequent occasion (once a year?) in the days of mechanical fuel injectors, I wouldn't use it now.

Well I run B20 Bio-diesel in the summer and change to B2 when the temps drop below 0*. If I am out of town and cannot find a bio-diesel station, I mix 16oz or better of 2cycle to the tank.

dmax king13
06-07-2009, 04:22 PM
well i guess im fine then cuz we ve been making and running 100% bio for the last three years on and off. it seems to me that the biodiesel does the same thing. thanx for all the input.

p.s. LED! IF IT WAS A BEAT TO DEATH SUBJECT, MY THREAD WOULDNT HAVE PULLED 3 PAGES OF INPUT. SO NEXT TIME IF YOU DONT HAVE CONSTRUCTIVE INPUT JUST KEEP UR THOGHTS TO YOURSELF.

Studies show TCW-3 ashless 2 stroke oil (yes wal-mart) lubes best and easiest to obtain for the bucks. One oz. per gallon of added fuel after filling up is very, very simple to do and figure out gentlemen.
