I have an 02 and over the weekend i walked around my truck and noticed oil on the tailgate so i lookd under the truck and everything was covered, there is a tube pointing down in the front of the engine and it looks like it is coming out of there. I havnt had any troubles with anything until now, the truck has 70,000 miles on it. Can somebody help me figure out why this happened. Thanks

Could be a bad injector leaking fuel into the crankcase. It'll eventually fill up and overflow out the breather.

I was thinking it might be an injector problem, they have not been replaced yet, i was hoping it wasnt the problem. I am goin to have the balance rates checkd and go from there thanks

Check your dipstick. I'd bet you've got a really thin oil/fuel mixture up high on the dip stick. It will smell like fuel.

It's injectors. Filling the crank case and leaking from the vent.

how can i find out if my truck is still under injector warn

It's 7 years, so it will depend on what the purchase date was.

turns out that my truck is still under warranty, the dealer is goin to cover it, so i dodged a bullet thank god so i think im goin to sell it after that and get a little bit newer one that doesnt have that problem. I dont want to, cuz i love my truck but i dont want to have to pay for injectors out of pocket later.

I took my truck to the stealership and i knew that the glow plug code was thrown but they were supposed to check my injectors and replace them, cuz i had all the diesel and oil underneath the truck and on the tailgate. They called me yesterday and said that was all caused by the glow plug controller being out, and that the injectors were fine and i said bullshit. I called two different diesel tech and they both started laughing and said they were idiots, so i guess im off to another stealership. Hopefully second time is a charm :mad:
