I was looking at the front of the suburban last night.

I was thinking that if I trimmed a little off the back side of the grill, I could lower these two coolers to allow them to have more air flow through the holes in the bumper.. This would also allow more air to flow into the condenser and also the radiator.

I was also thinking about fabricating a funnel behind the two holes in the bumper.

Any air that comes up through the bumper holes will go through the oil coolers, radiator, and A/C condenser. I don't think moving the coolers down will help you much, certainly not enough to pay for all of your efforts. Remote mounting the coolers with some Hayden electric fans might yield better results. They look cool too.

The key is keeping the all the coolers, radiators and AC clean so the air can go through properly.

Heath Diesel have an updated system for towing. You can read it in the MaxxTorque magazine, just google it.

Keep in mind that too much air can also be bad. Kinda like jumping into a bath of ice, if the air flowing over the cooler is ice cold(think winter) your shocking the engine as well as making the fluid more viscous. The air is way cooler than it needs to be.

They do make a thermostat kit that controls the tempurature of the circulating fluids so as to avoid this problem. It also allows a shorter warm up time I understand
