Have you all heard 08 stock F250 torqshift tranny can handle 700-750 hp without a problem. I thought it was b.s. but started reading under my buddies screen name on a ford website and there is numerous guys running the new spartan 310 tunes and other custom tunes, dynoing over 600hp plus making several pass at track. It really pissed me off when reading guys saying the dmax better watch out and saying how we have to invest in tranny when pushing over 450hp. The truth does hurt, but then again i'd rather invest than drive a ford.

The 08+ Torqshift is a damn good tranny. With the Spartan 310 tune people are almost pushing 600 HP with that and intake. The 6.4L is a beast. I think one of the guys ran a 12.3 with the 310 tune, intake, and a .93 shot of nitrous. He or someone else then got a 12.1 with a few upgraded tranny parts from Suncoast. It's going to be sad that he 6.4L will only be out 3 years before it's scrapped for the 6.7L. We'll see how that turns out. I'm going to try to buy me a 6.4L before they make the 6.7L and have it Spartan tuned for a little fun.
